Quack Entries

1) Logo for Superhero’s Costume by Edna Mode

Students created a superhero character and were then asked to design a fitting logo in Illustrator that might be worn on the superhero’s costume.

2) Illustration/Character Design

This is an open category for illustrations and/or character design that students completed this year. Click link to see their project on Behance.

3) 3D Model/Animation

Students were asked to create a 3D pull toy in Maya. The following preview images don’t tell the whole story — click link to see the student’s project on Behance. The only one that is animated is the first one, so there is an embedded video for that one on the Behance page.

4) Incredibles Sequel Movie Poster

Students were asked to imagine if their new character were slated to make their debut in an upcoming Incredibles sequel, then how might the movie poster look? They were encouraged to use their own aesthetic rather than to copy the style of Pixar. Their work was completed in Photoshop.

5) 2D Superhero Animation

Using Animate CC, students were to construct an 11-sec animation that might appear in a trailer for the Incredibles sequel (using the character they created earlier) or they could animate 11 seconds from a children’s story.
